Chief Talaunda Moyo, speaking on behalf of the King, emphasized the first-time nature of the marriage.

“We are witnessing a monumental moment with a South African queen stepping into our nation to play a key role. This is the first time we’ve had a queen from another country,” he said.

The wedding was not just a royal affair but also a heartwarming family event. Mhlambi spokesperson and son-in-law, Vusimuzi Qwabe expressed his jubilation,

“It’s a blessing to see my sister-in-law marry King Mambo. It’s remarkable to see a king from Bulawayo choosing a rose from the dusty streets of Vaal,” he said.

Detailing what interested him in his lover, the King with a glow in his face said “Her good heart and humanity among other characteristics is what drew me to her. Zandile has a warm heart.”
