Tributes pour for actor Papi Lethoba

The Vaal entertainment industry is mourning the death of a prominent thespian who lost his life in a car accident.

SEDIBENG. – The entertainment industry is in mourning following the untimely death of Papi Lethoba, a theatre and television actor known for his memorable cameo roles in various South African TV series.

Lethoba tragically lost his life in a car accident on Sunday, June 30.

The 41-year-old’s passing has sent shockwaves through the Vaal region and neighbouring communities.

Fans, friends, and colleagues have taken to social media to express their grief and pay tribute to the actor who left an indelible mark on the Mzansi entertainment landscape.

Lethoba’s career spanned over two decades, during which he became a familiar face on South African television.

He was best known for his roles in popular shows such as Scandal, Sithi Ses’la, Majakathatha, Stokvel, and Emzini Wezinsizwa.

His ability to bring characters to life, even in brief appearances, endeared him to audiences and earned him a special place in the hearts of many.

Outside his acting career, the Free State-born actor had recently undertaken a spiritual journey as a prophet at Saint Moses Faith Healing Apostolic Church.

Emfuleni Local Municipality MMC of Sport, Arts and Culture, Setlhare Mahlasela sent out condolences to the family of Lethoba.

“It is tragic to lose such immense talent, especially at a peak age of his career. Lethoba was a sterling actor who had amassed an impressive on-screen profile. To his family, your loss is our loss,” said Mahlasela.
