Detective Warrant Officer Kekana secures 20-year imprisonment for murder

Detective Warrant Officer Madaisela Jimmy Kekana has achieved a significant victory in the pursuit of justice.

Following an exhaustive investigation, Kekana played a pivotal role in securing a 20-year imprisonment sentence for Dingaan Teboho Tsetsengwe, convicted of the murder of Bafana Herinton Maya.

The incident, which shook the community of Meyerton, unfolded on January 18, 2021, when authorities received information about a murder scene adjacent to the Meyerton train station.

Upon arrival, the police discovered the lifeless body of an African male, later identified as Maya, in a decomposed state.

With the scene set, Detective Warrant Officer Kekana assumed the mantle of lead investigator, leaving no stone unturned in his pursuit of justice.

Speaking to Sedibeng Ster, Meyerton police spokesperson Constable Tlaleng Moloi said “Tsetsengwe was handed 20 years imprisonment for murder at Vereeniging regional court.”
