Boipatong FC and Milano in exciting draw

"This is a new team, and despite losing key players at the beginning of the season, I am pleased with the progress we are making."

BOIPATONG.- Boipatong FC and Vaal Milano FC played to a goalless draw in an exciting match of the Safa Sedibeng Hollywood Regional League Stream A at Boipatong Stadium on Sunday.

The game kicked off with high intensity, as the visitors made their intentions clear by taking the lead early in the first half. At this stage, the home team was still trying to figure out what had happened, while Vaal Milano enjoyed possession of the ball.

However, Boipatong FC regrouped and began to play their usual style, putting pressure on their opponents. The Vaal Milano FC goalkeeper made two brilliant saves within a short space of 10 minutes, but Boipatong FC was eventually rewarded when they equalised to make it 1-1.

The first half ended with a score of 1-1, and Vaal Milano FC picked up where they left off as the second half commenced, starting strongly. Boipatong FC no longer resembles the team it was last season, considering their recent performances. After the break Vaal Milano FC once again took the lead, making it 2-1 and forcing the home team to chase the game. Eventually, Boipatong FC managed to level the score to end the game in a 2-2 draw.

Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, Boipatong FC Coach Thabang “Vila” Mphuthi acknowledged that they are undergoing a transition from the team they were in the previous season.

“We are building a new team because we lost many players last season. Building a young team from scratch is challenging, but I am confident that the people of Boipatong will witness something special again. I am grateful for the support from the Boipatong community, and I promise to turn things around,” said Mphuti.
