Morning Stars FC outshines Metro Stars

EVATON.- Morning Stars FC shone brighter than Metro Stars as they secured a 3-2 victory in a Safa Sedibeng Hollywood Regional League match held at Qedilizwe ground in Evaton North on Saturday morning.

The match was part of a triple-header event at the venue, providing local soccer fans with a day filled with action-packed excitement. The game kicked off with both teams attacking aggressively, but it was Morning Stars who broke the deadlock first, capitalising on a “schoolboy” error made by the Metro Stars FC goalkeeper.

Despite this setback, Metro Stars FC managed to regroup and equalise. The game remained fiercely contested, with both teams vying for a second goal. However, it was Morning Stars FC who once again took the lead, making it 2-1. Metro Stars had numerous chances throughout the game but failed to capitalise on them, ultimately leading to their defeat.

Morning Stars FC sealed their victory with a goal from a set piece, ending the match with a score of 3-2, much to the delight of their coach, Nkopane Thaele. In another match at the same venue, SUB FC suffered a 3-2 defeat against Vaal Legends in another Hollywood Regional League fixture. Meanwhile, Perfect Academy dominated Palm Springs United with a 4-0 victory. All these matches showcased thrilling football action for the spectators gathered at Qedilizwe ground.
