BOIPATONG. – A 47-year-old man from Boipatong will on Monday, January 29 make an appearance at the Vanderbijlpark Magistrate’s Court to answer to a charge of rape.
This is after the man allegedly raped his 26-year-old daughter at their home on January 23.
Police spokesperson Sergeant Thembeka Maxambela reports that the suspect was arrested on January 25 after the victim opened a case at the Boipatong police station.
“The victim alleges that her father came to her room on the night and raped her. The matter was reported to the police, and the suspect was subsequently arrested.”
The station commander, Lieutenant Colonel Puleng Mokoena welcomes the arrest and reassures the community that police together with the Community Policing Forum (CPF) will continue to work tirelessly to ensure the safety of women and children.
