Pupils urged to say no to crime

Kele congratulated those who continued to do well in academics and urged those who did not do well to try again.

SEBOKENG. – Sebokeng police spokesperson Sergeant Nthabiseng Mokhachane has highlighted the importance of keeping pupils in schools safe through the Safer Schools back-to-school campaigns carried out by the SAPS working with various stakeholders.

Recently, the Sebokeng Community Policing Forum(CPF), Crime Prevention Wardens (CPW), Representatives from the Sedibeng District Municipality, the Department of Education, and the Student Christian Movement visited Moshate Secondary School and engaged pupils about various issues affecting them.

Addressing learners about matters of bullying, drugs, gangsterism, and sexual assault, Lieutenant Colonel Tshabalala encouraged learners to open a line of communication with parents as well as educators.

Sergeant Molefi warned learners about the different dangers of drug abuse and also urged them to make use of the Motto: Don’t be a fool, drugs aren’t cool.

Superintendent Peter Kele attached to the Sedibeng District Municipality warned pupils who are part of gangs to leave the groups as they would find themselves on the wrong side of the law.

Kele congratulated those who continued to do well in academics and urged those who did not do well to try again. He further reiterated the importance of pupils saying no to crime in school.
