Mazingisa is going places

SEBOKENG. – Soon, make sure that you remember the name Nhlanhla Mazingisa.

The Sebokeng-born, Vaal Romans player (midfielder-cum-striker) has many accolades under his belt and his only remaining wish now is to turn professional. Mazingisa has been coached by former professional soccer players in different teams and tournaments, these include Solom Mathe, Benedict ‘Tso’ Vilakazi and to mention but two.

Mazingisa was seven years old when he started playing football, in 2012 he joined Zone 3-based, Celta Vigo. At the age of 16, the now 24-year-old Mazingisa was promoted to the first team which won tournaments such as the Pooe Tournament. In this team, he had the pleasure of rubbing shoulders with first team Players including Kabelo Mahlasela (now Royal AM) player, Bongani Theletsane (Ex Jomo Cosmos) player, Vusimuzi Gcantsane (Ex PSL) player, and Sabelo Radebe (now Kaizer Chiefs) player.

This is where he was coached by Xolani Makhoba, a former Bloemfontein Celtics player.

Mazingisa has played in many professional and semi/professional tournaments that have featured teams such as Kazer Chiefs’ junior teams, the Nale Academy, and NWU Vaal. Amongst his accomplishment is that he was coached by former Orlando Pirates star midfielder, Benedict ‘Tso’ Vilakazi after being selected to attend assessments at the former Kaizer Chiefs player, Siyabonga Nkosi’s Academy.

In 2022 he played for NWU Vaal’s second team and was fortunate to be coached by Solomon Mathe, a former Platinum Stars player.

“My wish is to achieve the highest places of all, the PSL. I believe that I am destined for greatness. And with hard work and dedication everything is possible.”
