Good Samaritans spreading Christmas cheers to disadvantaged kids

A duo born and bred in Sebokeng aims to spree cheers to kids in Boipatong this Christmas.

BOIPATONG – They held several charity events last year, serving about 100 kids with juice and food.
This year, the duo plans to cater to more than 300 kids at a much bigger accommodation.

Moeketsi Matsoso (27) and Katiso Ntsasa (26) plan to host the Annual Hope Charity Fun Day at Boipatong Stadium on December 25.

Speaking to Sedibeng Ster, Matsoso said “Christmas is a wonderful family day and not everyone has the privilege to enjoy it due to different reasons. We want to bring smiles to those who are less fortunate and underprivileged,” he said.

Matsoso said the stadium will be alive and vibrant with different games including relay races, egg races, jumping castles, water slides, tug of water, and more.

Matsoso said “It is important to share the love for those who are less privileged. We hope to see children as young having to enjoy this important day just like any other. Having no proper food and clothing for Christmas is not a reason not to enjoy the day.”

Recently, on December 1, the duo visited Evaton where they also served 100 kids with juice and food.
Asked about the reason behind the charity donations, Matsoso said they feel the need to inspire and put smiles on the faces of the less fortunate.

“We want to be the mentors we wish we had when we were growing up. We want to encourage abundance within our community, and also, we also want these kids to grow and learn that no man is an island. We want to engage with communities to help us achieve this,” he said.
