Work to rehabilitate Boy Louw has resumed

Radebe states that the project commencement meeting is scheduled to sit on December 06.

VEREENIGING. – The Emfuleni Local Municipality (ELM) says work to rehabilitate the Boy Louw Road undercarriage has resumed.

A portion of the badly Boy Louw Street between the Vereeniging and Steel Park was closed following numerous complaints from motorists.

Speaking to Sedibeng Ster recently, ELM’s Media Relations Officer Chuchi Radebe said the first step, which consisted of pumping out water from the road was carried out and has since been completed.

“The service provider arrived onsite on November 21 after all the necessary procurement procedures were successfully concluded. Work to drain the subway has been completed.”

Radebe states that the project commencement meeting is scheduled to sit on December 06.

“More updates will be issued to members of the public and the media as and when there are new developments,” radebe concludes.
