VEREENIGING.- The Sedibeng East District recently hosted Enrichment Awards to recognise and honour outstanding learners, coaches, and teachers for their exceptional achievements and dedication.
The ceremony took place at Acorn Park Primary School last Friday, drawing representatives from the Department of Sports, Arts, Culture, and Recreation at the district level, as well as parents.
Kganya Lesedi Secondary School from Heidelberg captivated the audience with musical performances, gumboot dances, and engaging drama, adding to the vibrancy of the event. Participants, including learners, teachers, coaches, and principals from various schools, came together to celebrate their remarkable accomplishments.
Thabang Letlaka, Senior Education Specialist for Sedibeng East District, lauded the awards as a resounding success. Letlaka told Sedibeng Ster that the event marked a successful mission in acknowledging excellence among learners, teachers, and schools.
“Thanks to all who accepted our invite amidst exams. Congrats to the award recipients – learners, teachers, and others. Let’s use these awards to motivate active sports participation in schools,” Letlaka concluded.
