Emfuleni Education Transport Services’ cleaning campaign

"We all know that the Bible says about cleanliness."

VANDERBIJLPARK.- The Emfuleni Education Transport Services embarked on a cleaning campaign at Oliver Lodge Primary School’s drop zone in Vanderbijlpark yesterday, Thursday morning.

This cleaning campaign was initiated by the executive members of the Emfuleni Education Transport Services with the support of the school principal and the School Governing Body (SGB).  Speaking to Sedibeng Ster, Sello Mahlase who is the organisation’s spokesperson, said that there was a need to clean the area where they drop off the learners.

He said that the era was dirty and that this was not good for the learners’ health including their members because they also used this parking space after dropping off the learners.

“We approached the school principal and SGB with the idea of cleaning the open space next to the school’s yard, and they agreed. They even helped us with tools to do a proper job on the day and we want to thank everyone who came on board to help us.”

“We all know that the Bible says about cleanliness and we were not happy with the condition where we drop off and collect the school learners in the morning and after school. You can see for yourself that this place is dirty because shops that are around dump everything there,” he concluded.

The cleaning campaign was also joined by members of the community.
