Mami releases “Me in Me”

"The power of a person is more of an attitude or state of mind."

SEBOKENG.- Local, Mami Mofokeng (25) has released a motivational book called, “Me in Me”.

The down-to-earth and go-getter from Zone 7 in Sebokeng, Mofokeng told Sedibeng Ster that  “Me in Me” book is a motivational book that discusses experiences that an individual faces on a daily basis, and also focuses on the journey of self-discovery. She said that the book is also a motivational book that allows people to find themselves, know the power they hold as individuals, and tap into that.

I wrote this book to tackle issues and things that we as human beings struggle to talk about, confront, and deal with. It is to the world in general that self-discovery and knowing thyself, living your life, and expressing yourself is not wrong, but rather important. It is also meant to make people aware of how powerful we are If we were to really tap into our “powers” as human beings.”

Mofokeng said that with this book she is hoping that after it there will be a lot done to change our situation as South Africans, as well as the world.

“It doesn’t help to talk about it if it doesn’t bring change, this book must be an eye opener, touch or change someone’s life, after all, that’s the aim. I believe as human beings we have to be connected to ourselves not just physically but also emotionally with our feelings. We have to know ourselves thoroughly, know who we are, what we like and don’t, what we stand for, and what we want in life.’

Mofokeng adds that when a person has no sense of self, they don’t feel confident, and end up feeling like there’s no meaning to life which is one of the reasons why there’s such a high level of suicide cases, abuse cases, and drug (substance) abuse.

“The power of a person is more of an attitude or state of mind. As a person, if your mind is in the right place, your thinking capability, and how you view situations and deal with obstacles/problems will not be the same as someone whose state of mind is not in the right place. A person who does have this power often becomes confused and ends up making wrong decisions, and may even try to impersonate others.
