Emfuleni unveils 39 vehicles donated by Rand Water

"Our people's hope deserve to be revived and they should know that we are ready to work for them,” said Radebe at the unveiling.

VANDERBIJLPARK – Emfuleni Local Municipality reaffirmed its commitment to deliver quality services to the public as it launched a brand-new fleet of vehicles and heavy-duty machinery.

The 39 vehicles which were unveiled on Thursday, October 19, at the municipal’s headquarters in Vanderbijlpark, was a donation made by Rand Water through the Section 63 Water and Sanitation intervention.

This milestone, achieved in collaboration with the Executive Mayor, MMC Nzima of Infrastructure Planning and Development, the Chief Whip, the Municipal Manager, and dedicated staff, marks a turning point in the municipality’s ongoing efforts to improve the lives of the Vaal community.

In a grand ceremony attended by municipal officials and Metsi a Lekoa staff, the Executive Mayor, Sipho Radebe expressed the municipality’s dedication to bringing dignity and a better life to the residents of Vaal.

“Our decision to prioritize investments in acquiring these tools of the trade is a demonstration of our unwavering commitment to improving the quality of life of the community of the Vaal,” he said.

Radebe said the fleet launch is not merely symbolic but a practical step toward fulfilling this commitment.

The generous donation from Rand Water includes a range of vehicles and heavy-duty machinery designed to enhance the municipality’s ability to provide efficient and effective services to the people of Vaal

Speaking to Sedibeng Ster, Radebe said “We are launching 39 fleet vehicles brought to us by “We were showing our community that we are ready to work and this was also an indication of commitment to work for our communities.

Our people’s hopes deserve to be revived that we are ready to work for them.”
