Men’s Forum launched

Enemployed men face significant challenges and that the forum is committed to supporting them.

ORANGE FARM.- The Father and Nation Organisation recently launched a Men’s Forum at Stradford Clinic in Orange Farm with the aim of assisting men in the community who face various challenges.

Reverend Bafana Mokwena, speaking to Sedibeng Ster, explained that the forum is a platform to advocate for men’s issues and provide support. Rev. Mokwena highlighted that men can also be victims of abuse and that the forum is designed to address this issue by offering counselling and assistance.

In addition to counselling, the forum provides food parcels to unemployed men. He emphasised that it is essential to recognise that men can be victims of abuse, and many suffer silently due to societal pressures. The forum aims to create a safe space for men to discuss their challenges without fear of judgment. Rev. Mokwena encouraged men to come forward and share their difficulties, as the forum provides a platform for open dialogue.

“As Father and Nation Organisation we encourage men to come forward and speak about their challenges. This is the right platform for them to speak out without being charged by the community,” said Rev. Mokwena.

He acknowledged that unemployed men, in particular, face significant challenges and that the forum is committed to supporting them. The initiative was launched with Reverend Bophelo Kodisang as one of the men’s ambassadors, demonstrating a collective effort to address men’s issues within the community.
