Vaal Dojo Karate Club fighters to represent Gauteng

“I’m very proud of these two because they always excel whenever they fight."

SEBOKENG.- Two talented fighters, Bongani Mkwayi and Lerato Mohanoe, from the Vaal Dojo Karate Club have earned the opportunity to compete in the upcoming Mixed Martial Arts Tournament in Johannesburg this November.

These athletes will proudly represent Gauteng in this prestigious event. Sensei Buti Maqabe of the Vaal Dojo Karate Club explained that Mkwayi and Mohanoe were selected based on their consistent and outstanding performances, making them champions in their respective divisions.

Mohanoe will compete in the lightweight division, while Mkwayi will represent the middleweight division. Maqabe expressed his pride and honour in having two fighters from his club chosen to represent Gauteng in this tournament.

“I’m very proud of these two because they always excel whenever they fight. As the Vaal Dojo Karate Club, we are proud of our contribution to the development of karate in South Africa. I have no doubt that these two are going to make us proud and bring home medals,” said Maqabe.

Both fighters expressed their excitement and gratitude for being chosen to represent the Gauteng Karate Team in the Mixed Martial Arts Tournament. They conveyed their determination to prepare for the tournament.

“We’ll be fully prepared by November, and we’re confident that we’ll do Sedibeng proud. Our preparations have already begun,” they affirmed.
