‘Don’t Do Crime’ Top 8 Ladies Soccer Tournament

The games take place throughout the Sedibeng region and started last year.

SHARPEVILLE.- Eight local women’s soccer teams will compete in the Sharpeville Games Top 8 Ladies Soccer Tournament scheduled to take place at George Thabe Stadium, in Sharpeville on 23 September.

This was revealed to Sedibeng Ster Sport by Themba Zwelibanzi who said that the draw for this top 8 ladies’ tournament will take place at Lifestyle in Sharpeville. The games are part of the ‘Don’t Do Crime’ campaign that takes place throughout the Sedibeng region which started last year. Zwelinanzi said these games have been taking place all over the Sedibeng region. This will be the first time this tournament will involve the women’s soccer teams since its inception last year.

“We saw it important also to include the women’s soccer teams for this tournament. We want women’s soccer teams to also get involved in the campaign to attract more women’s soccer teams from other regions. We want other areas to get involved because women are victims of crime in many communities. I want to thank those women’s soccer teams that have accepted our invitation to be part of this initiative,” he concluded.
