SEDIBENG. – Evaton-based artist Michael Motsepe (37) a.k.a DJ Mic Wa Africa recently released a new EP.
The House music Amapino, Afro, Deep Tech, and Tribal House artist’s love for music started at the young and tender age of 15 and he was inspired by the likes of DJ Mbuso, Dabotts, and Sub T.
It is the Soweto music scene, where he was originally born, that ultimately led him to make the biggest decision of his life by leaving a full-time job to start a record company where he wanted to pursue his musical and film interests.
DJ Mic Wa Africa’s music is produced under his record label, Makrombo Records. He is influenced by Dj Dabotts, Dj Mbuso, Dj Sub T, and Black Coffee. He has one kasi movie called ‘Memeza’ and three albums with hits such as ‘Inspirations’ and ‘Nkosazana’ which were trending in the musical scene.
His new EP of five tracks is an offering called ‘Moments’ which he says is a testament to having gone full circle as a DJ and Producer.
The DJ is looking to get into the Vaal Music Awards.
