Chiefs’ supporters demonstrate their frustration on Ntseki

Ntseki had to be escorted out of the field after the game with supporters throwing objects at him.

SEDIBENG.- Kaizer Chiefs supporters demonstrated their frustration when they threw objects at the coach Molefi Ntseki after their 1-0 defeat to Ts Galaxy in the DSTV Premiership game on Sunday.

This was Chiefs’ second defeat this season after suffering 2-1 to the defending champions, Mamelodi Sundowns.

Ntseki had to be escorted out of the field after the game with supporters throwing objects at him. Sedibeng Ster Sport can reveal that not many Chiefs supporters were happy when the club announce the appointment of Ntseki to replace Arthur Zwane.

Sedibeng Ster Sports has learned that prior to Ntseki’s appointment, there were some expectations from the club supporters that the club will hire one of the top coaches, and Pitso Mosimane who was clubless by then was one of the coaches that supporters thought the club would secure his services.

Even the club’s legend such as Lucas Radebe didn’t approve of the appointment of Ntseki, questioning his pedigree to coach a big team, like Chiefs with no club-level coaching experience.

Despite, the supporters’ frustration, Kaizer Chiefs is in the semi-finals of the MTN8 but they have to pass Mamelodi Sundowns to be in the final after being drawn against them.

However, many experts were of the opinion that Chiefs is going to beat Sundowns even though Sundowns enjoyed domination over Amakhosi last season. This is a must-win game for Ntseki to win the confidence of the ‘gatvol’ supporters who are no longer patient with the coach. They did the same to Zwane last season after the club’s poor run in all competitions which led to the appointment of Ntseki.
