Gauteng schools battle it out in the Schools Football Champions League

The next round of this Gauteng Schools Football Champions League is scheduled to take place at  Rosina Sedibane School of Specialization.

VEREENIGING.- It was action galore when Gauteng schools competed against each other in the Gauteng Schools Football Champions League at President Park Stadium in Vereeniging on Women’s Day.

The two local schools that represented Sedibeng in this Gauteng Schools Football Champions League are Beverly Hills Secondary School and Khanya-Lesedi Secondary School from Ratanda, Heidelberg. It was action galore from the morning until the afternoon with some games taking place at General Smuts High School soccer fields.

These are some of the officials that were officiating at the event.

Rosina Sedibane and Clapham Secondary School were some of the schools that played exciting football. The school champions league games are an extension of the School Programme implemented by the Gauteng Department of Sport.

The next round of this Gauteng Schools Football Champions League is scheduled to take place at  Rosina Sedibane School of Specialization in Pretoria on 26 August.

Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, SAFA Sedibeng Head of Technical, Thulani “Japan” Mtimkulu said that Gauteng is blessed with talent.
