Tiny Dee spins her way to success in the Vaal music scene

Dimpho Motloung, Aka Tiny Dee, elevates deep house and local music in the vaal.

SHARPEVILLE – In the heart of the Vaal, a young and talented Dee Jay has been making waves in the local music scene.

Dimpho Motloung, affectionately known as Tiny Dee, has been captivating audiences with her wide-ranging mixes of Deep House and homegrown tunes, establishing herself as one of the region’s most promising music artists.

At just 28 years old, Tiny Dee has already made remarkable strides in her DJ career.

Hailing from Sebokeng, she embarked on her musical journey in 2017 while working at the vibrant Eleven Cigar Lounge in Vanderbijlpark, owned by Ricardo da Costa and his wife.

It was at this renowned establishment where Tiny Dee found her passion and a mentor to guide her toward success.

“Being a loved Dee Jay it’s a reality to my spiritual journey because I love music,” Tiny Dee explains when asked about her inspiration to become a professional DJ.

Her deep connection with music has been the driving force behind her relentless pursuit of artistic excellence.

With an inherent talent and a burning desire to learn, Tiny Dee hasn’t limited herself to just mastering the DJ console.

Despite her passion for music, she also holds college qualifications in Electrical Engineering, having studied up to N6 level at Sedibeng College.

Additionally, she pursued a short course in sound engineering at Pioneer Institution, proving her dedication to honing her craft and enriching her knowledge of the industry.

Since her humble beginnings at Eleven Cigar Lounge, Tiny Dee has rapidly gained recognition for her unique sound and ability to curate an immersive musical experience.

The soft-spoken young lady has played in the Vaal’s biggest music concerts ever hosted and played on national radio stations.

“I’ve gigged at one of the biggest festivals in the Vaal at Dickson Park. I have also got blessed to play in one of the biggest YouTube platforms called tequila gang recording and YFMs All Girls On Deck with DJ Fae Fae” she said.

Her deep house mixes, laced with local music flavors, have earned her a devoted following of fans who eagerly await her performances at various clubs and events in The Vaal.

As Tiny Dee’s star continues to rise, she remains humble and hungry for more opportunities to showcase her skills on bigger stages.

Her goal is to push further, explore new collaborations, and leave an indelible mark on the South African music scene.
