Don’t Do Crime Winter Games reach quarterfinals

BC FC who look like the tournament favourites together with COVID-19 FC have managed to avoid each other for the semi-final spot.

SHARPEVILLE.- The ‘Don’t Do Crime Winter Top 32 Games’ have reached the quarterfinals stages where eight teams will vie for the semi-final spot this weekend.

This tournament takes place at James Ground in the Philandaba section of Sharpeville.  The games started three weeks ago with action every weekend with the local soccer fans packing the venue to capacity. BC FC who look like the tournament favourites together with COVID-19 FC have managed to avoid each other for the semi-final spot.

BC FC is pitted against Xola Moya Warm FC in the quarterfinal. The game kick-off is at 9:30.

COVID-19 FC will lock horns against Jagermeister FC in the last fixture of the day. All Black FC who also emerged as red-hot favourites will be up against Manyora FC who are a surprise package for the tournament in the second game of the day.

Vaal Monate FC will be up against The Birds FC in another quarterfinal match.

These games have kept the local soccer fans busy with the PSL teams still in pre-season preparations. The local soccer fans have packed the venue from the morning until the afternoon since the start of the games.

Xola Moya Wam FC 3-0 Team Phoso FC

Vaal Monate 1-1 (4-3 penalties) Amazulu FC

COVID-19 FC 7-1 Suluman FC

Beke Le Beke FC 1-3 Manyora FC
