Sedibeng Netball Team in Cape Town for National Netball Championships

SEDIBENG.- Sedibeng U/19 Netball Team in Cape Town is participating in the Telkom Netball Junior National Championships which started on Monday.
This is an annual Telkkom Junior National Championship is one of the biggest events in the calendar of netball. To make it interesting, this championship takes place ahead of the World Netball Cup which is also scheduled to take place in Cape Town next month. Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, Sedibeng Netball Federation President, Fikile Nkitseng said they arrived safe in Cape Town and that they are looking forward to competing against the best in South Africa.
She told Sedibeng Ster Sport they have selected the team that is going to compete and make Sedibeng proud.
“I have no doubt that we will be well represented well because we had decent preparations ahead of the tournament. We are looking forward to making our presence felt in this year’s championships and I have confidence in all the players. The good thing is that all eyes will be here because this city will be hosting the Netball World Cup in August.
“We will take the field knowing that back home everyone is behind us to hoist the Sedibeng flag high and we want to thank everyone who helped these players to raise funds to be here. If it wasn’t for them I don’t think some of the players could have managed to raise that amount. We want to thank them for making this possible for these players,” said Nkitseng.
