They play on a hard field nogal!

I find it very strange that teams with resources finished behind Real Hearts and Young Pirates FC.

SEDIBENG.- The standard of Sedibeng football, formerly Vaal Triangle, is declining!

Yes, I said, it is declining!

For the past two seasons or so Real Hearts FC from Ratanda, Heidelberg has been crowned the SAFA Sedibeng SAB League Champions. This team that plays their home games at the hard soccer ground has dominated teams with resources.

Like SAFA SEdibengPresident Solly Mkhabela said, “There is something special about Real Hearts FC, to say the least.

In fact, TOUCHLINE had a very interesting conversation with SMkhabela about this team, Real Hearts FC. Rember last season the team was denied the opportunity to represent the Sedibeng region at Provincial Play-offs after the SAFA Sedibeng SAB League was declared null and void after SAFA Sedibeng failed to comply with SAFA rules.

TOUCHLINE can only hope and wish this time around that, lightning doesn’t strike twice in the same place. TOUCHLINE hopes that SAFA Sedibeng has learned from their previous mistake because this was bad for our football, and for our region not to be represented at Provincial Play-offs.

Who knows, maybe today we could have a team in ABC Motsepe League if it wasn’t for SAFA Sedibeng’s incompetence. For the whole of last season, the teams played friendly matches with traveling costs nogal. TOUCHLINE congratulates Real Hearts FC for their achievement, once again. I find it very strange that teams with resources finished behind Real Hearts and Young Pirates FC.

To make things worse, Young Pirates FC were new in the league but finds themselves competing against Real Hearts FC for the overall winner. In fact, by their standard, teams like NWU Vaal, VUT FC, and RESA were supposed to be challenging the league title taking into consideration the resources they enjoy.

These above-mentioned teams have the capacity to represent this region at the highest level like VUT FC did in the Nedbank Cup reaching the last sixteen of the competition. For starters, at one stage VUT FC and NWU Vaal FC once played in the ABC Motsepe League but got relegated.

TOUCHLINE agrees with Mkhabela, that there is a serious need for Sedibeng to be represented in the ABC Motsepe League. For example, the highest level our teams compete in this region is SAB League.

Really? With all the talent we got!

It is embarrassing for Vaal not to have a representative in the ABC Motsepe League with all the resources we have. As I said before, Vaal players are all over PSL teams but back here at home we don’t have even a team in the ABC Motsepe League. This region has been a feeder for those PSL clubs for too long now since the days of Simon “Bull” Lehoko, Malome Phiri, Augustine Makalakalane, Mabena Monnakgotla, Conti Kubheka, Bricks Mbele, Vusi Maseko and Super Mofokeng to mention but few.

FACT OF MATTER, we don’t even have a team in the lowest league, ABC Motsepe League nogal!

TOUCHLINE agrees with you Mr President, it is high time we have a team in ABC Motsepe League and Motsepe Foundation Championship.  The time is now! Real Hearts FC is our hope at least to have a team in the ABC Motsepe League.

TOUCHLINE wishes the club all the best to bring back our pride….
