EVATON. – The Gauteng Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Elias Mawela was at the forefront on Saturday when the police is Sedibeng District carried out an Operation in evaton.
South African Police Services (SAPS) reports that a roadblock in Evaton resulted in the arrest of suspects for for various crimes including drunk and driving, possession of suspected stolen vehicles, possession of ammunition and contravening the Immigration Act.
“The operation started with the first phase whereby the detectives on the province conduct an overnight suspect raiding operations.
“The team managed to trace and arrest 672 suspects who have been on the run after committing crimes that include murder, attempted murder, rape, robbery and assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.”
