Eligwa Aquatics Club swimming lessons

"There are a lot of young people out there who are still idling after they pass their matric, and this is the opportunity for them to do something."

SEDIBENG.- The Eligwa Aquatics Club is looking for young people who are interested in making a career as  Lifeguards.

This message was communicated to Sedibeng Ster Sport by the club founder, Tseliso Koatla, who through the swimming program has identified many young swimmers in Sharpeville and other areas.

Koatla said the registration forms can be collected at the following venues:

Saul Tsotetsi Sports Complex, in Zone 14, Sebokeng, Sharpeville Swimming Pool, and Emerald Casino. He also told Sedibeng Ster Sport that swimmers and non-swimmers are welcome.

The swimming lessons begin on 3 July at Emerald Casino.

“We welcome every young people, and we will take them through the swimming lessons to make sure they get the best training.  For those who are not aware, being a Lifeguard is a serious career and I encourage young people especially those who are sitting at home doing nothing to come forward.

“We try to reduce the high number of unemployment especially for young people. It is not a secret that there are many unemployed young people out there regardless of their qualifications. This course will help them to keep them busy while waiting for something. They can even make a career out of being a Lifeguard and get a job,” said Koatla.

For more information, Koatla can be contacted at this number 064 115 1271.
