Mathew Booth visits Flair Feet Stars

VANDERBIJLPARK. – Former Bafana Bafana star Matthew Booth recently paid a visit to Flair Feet Stars FC (FFS) at their Curro Vanderbijlpark home ground.

During his visit, the soccer legend shared his expertise with the team and provided motivation to the players.

The event, attended by media and parents, included a special presentation of a portrait signed by all the players as a gift to Booth.

The team’s captain, Michael Ferreira, led the presentation alongside junior captains MJ Francis and Marco Dacina.

Ferreira expressed gratitude on behalf of the Flair Feet Stars FC team for Booth’s visit and his inspiring presence.

Ferreira acknowledged the honour of having a soccer star like Booth share his experiences with the team.

He thanked Booth for his encouragement and wisdom, which has inspired the players to work harder and set higher goals in their games. Ferreira emphasized that the memories created with Booth would be cherished by the club.

The head coach and technical director of FFS, Coach Nnamdi John, stated that Booth’s visit aimed to expose the players to professional football and provide them with a glimpse of what it feels like to be a star.

The goal is to help the players envision themselves as stars and understand what they can achieve through hard work and dedication.

Coach John mentioned his long-standing connection with Booth, having worked together as coaches at his previous club, where Booth served as his assistant coach. He described Booth as a friend who shares his love for children and the game.

Coach John expressed that Booth’s visit had a lasting impact on the team and announced that more soccer stars would be visiting the team in the coming months.

Booth expressed his gratitude for being invited by the club and described his visit to Vanderbijlpark as a pleasure. He recognized the importance of developing talent within clubs and the country, stating that the initiatives happening at FFS will contribute to the pool of talent for clubs and potentially for Bafana Bafana in the next ten to twenty-five years.
