Ster and Vaalweekblad’s annual Baby and Toddler Competition, in collaboration with Chilli PicNic Photography, is back in full swing!
Entries for this year’s competition are open and parents can enter their little ones from now until the end of August. Unlike previous years, this year offers a category for older children up to the age of 8 years.
All participants’ photos will be published in Vaalweekblad. The sooner a participant is entered, the sooner his or her photo will appear in the newspaper.
How to enter:
Option 1:
Bring your child (newborn to 8 years) for a professional photo session, any Sunday during June, through to August, from 10:00 to 14:00 at Chilli PicNic’s photo studio in Vanderbijlpark. (By appointment only at 083 744 7711). The entry fee is R120 and includes one photograph which will be professionally taken and sent to the parent via WhatsApp. Your child is then automatically entered.
More photos can be ordered from Chilli PicNic. Various other photo packages are also available for interested parents. A mini family photo session, for example, costs R150 extra.
Option 2:
Parents can choose to take pictures of their little ones themselves and send them to the competition coordinator. The entry fee is R100, which must be paid into a bank account. Then email your child’s photo and proof of payment together with his or her name, surname and date of birth, as well as your own name, surname and cell number to nickychillipicnic@gmail.com
How to vote for your child:
Parents, friends and family can start voting for the child of their choice only AFTER the photo has appeared in Vaalweekblad. Each child’s published photo will have a unique code, which must be written on the voting form that will be in the newspaper. Only original newspaper voting forms will be allowed and parents and family can use each week’s form to vote for your child AGAIN and AGAIN to better his or her winning chances. Keep an eye on Vaalweekblad as voting will start soon!
