Bophelong community comes out to support sanitary towels project

"We want to say thank you, if it wasn’t for your support I don’t think we could have managed to raise these sanitary towels."

BOPHELONG.- Kasi Athletics Club in conjunction with Ola Chisanyama hosted a Colour Run and 40km Cycling Race as part of the sanitary towels project.

The Bophelong community came in numbers to support this initiative and donated sanitary towels.

The sanitary towels that were donated on the day will be donated to the Bophelong schools. This was revealed to Sedibeng Ster Sport by Nkosinathi Nolusu who thanked the Bophelong community for their support.

The day started with the Colour Run and was followed by the 40km cycling with cyclists from Sedibeng and other areas coming in numbers to race for this initiative. Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, Nolusu said the event went as they planned it. He was full of compliments for the Bophelong community for coming out in numbers to support this project.

“I was really touched to see how much the Bophelong community cares about their young ones and this was a great success. From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank them and everyone who came to give moral support even if they didn’t contribute anything. For them being here means a lot and I also want to thank them.

Lastly, I want to thank Ola Chisanyama for supporting community initiatives such as this one and promoting black excellence within their community,” he concluded.
