"I have partnered with other stakeholders to make sure we give young people opportunities to learn and create jobs for themselves."

SHARPEVILLE.– Sharpeville’s Keabecoe Moiloa, the founder of Keabecoe Moiloa Foundation is well on her way to winning a prestigious national award.

Moiloa has been nominated for the 5th Annual SA Heroes Awards 2023, this is in the category of Business Empowerment. The awards have four different categories, namely Community Health, Business Empowerment, Women Empowerment, and Rural Development.

Through the Keabecoe Moiloa Foundation, a non-profit organization, based in Sharpeville, Moiloa creates opportunities for young and old people living in the Vaal and surrounding areas.

Speaking to Sedibeng Ster the humble and good-looking Moiloa said, “I implement Digital Marketing platform for women in business and aspiring to promote their business in social media platforms and how they can engage with their customers. I am promoting the fourth industrial revolution to women.”

The Keabecoe Moiloa Foundation is in partnership with other companies which allows them to implement empowerment programs to uplift women who are unemployed. One such was the ‘Woman in Waste Management Program’ where women were taught the basics of Waste Management and were receiving a weekly stipend to help them with their businesses.

Moiloa said that the program became a success and some women are still running their waste management businesses. She was nominated as an unsung hero by Sunday World 2021 in the Education sector. “Furthermore, we donate sanitary towels to communities and educate young girls in schools about menstrual health management about keeping girls in schools. I also assist them to open up their own companies and teach them about business compliances and how to manage and seek funding where is possible.”
