ORANGE FARM. – The police are investigating a double murder after a 40-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman were gunned down in Orange Farm in the early hours of Saturday, March 15.
Speaking to Sedibeng Ster about the incident, police spokesperson Sergeant Thembeka Maxambela said police were alerted of a double murder and rushed to the scene.
“On arrival, the bodies belonging to a man and a woman were found lying on the floor with gunshot wounds.
“The deceased man sustained gunshot wounds to the head while the woman was shot on her upper body.”
Maxambela states that information received by the police suggests that the two were attacked by three unknown men.
“The motive for the murder is not known at the moment. Investigations are ongoing,” Maxambela concludes.
