Jabulile Mazibuko Foundation serves lunch at UK Soccer Tournament

" Most men who filled the soccer ground wanted to have peace of mind away from home."

SEBOKENG.- While others sold food for those who came to watch games, the Jabulile Mazibuko (41) Foundation served the young children lunch at UK Soccer Tournament that came to an end on Monday in Sebokeng.

Sedibeng Ster Sport spotted this selfless lady busy serving lunch for those children who came to watch the tournament. When asked how long she has been doing this, Mazibuko said she started this initiative in 2015. She said she started this project by taking some kids to rehab especially those who went through abuse of substances in the community.

However, not only young children came in number to be served food, elderly people who came to watch the games also qued for the food. Mazibuko said she knows for a fact that most of those children come to watch the games the whole day with empty stomachs.

“I’m quite aware that these children spend the whole day watching games with nothing to eat and we decided to serve them breakfast and lunch. In fact, when we started this project, we took children suffering from drug abuse to rehab.

“We also help parents/adults with some counseling to accept their children when they come back from rehab but along the way, we were discouraged by the fact that when they come back, they would go back to the same environment. However, with this project of serving food at the soccer grounds we have been doing it at various soccer tournaments in Sedibeng,” said Mazibuko.

Mazibuko also revealed to Sedibeng Ster Sport that they are specializing in many projects including the challenges men are faced with. She said the boy child is not raised the same as the girl child is raised, and that they want to breach the gap. She further told Sedibeng Ster Sport that men go through a lot because they are not open up to talk about their challenges.

Mazibuko said that she believes that no one pays attention to boy children and when they become men they experienced a lot of challenges in life.
