VANDERBIJLPARK – This is after a decision to visit all 14 power stations in the country to deal with load-shedding headaches in the country.

Today, the Minister visited Lethabo power station where he engaged with the management of the power utility workers and organized labor (unions).
Ramokgopa was accompanied by his adviser Silas Zimu and other senior officials in his department.

His visit started at different power plants including Kriel and Duvha Power Station in Mpumalanga, Tutuka, and Camden stations before touring Lethabo.
Following his visit, Ramokgopa said Lethabo is the best-performing power station that helps keep Eskom afloat.

During his previous visits and media interviews, Ramokgopa said “Intensive work is underway to implement the plan, which aims to, firstly, improve the performance of Eskom power stations, and, secondly, to bring new generating capacity onto the system as quickly as possible”.
Meanwhile, the Minister will on Friday, March 24, travel to the Western Cape, Ankerlig open cycle gas turbine, and Koeberg power station.
