More than hundred suspects were arrested during Okae Moloa in De Deur

Another instalment of the Gauteng Provincial Okae Molao operation visited the Vaal, De Deur.

DE DEUR – Provincial police bosses including Provincial Commissioner Lieutenant General Elias Mawela together with the MEC for Community Safety Faith Mazibuko, with SAPS Management, graced the operation.

Political heads such as MMC Mokete Motsamai, Ward Councillors, and members from the local Community Policing Forum, senior officers from other law enforcement agencies as we led Operation O Kae Molao in De Deur.

Several crime prevention activities were conducted such as a roadblock, compliance inspection at liquor outlets, sting groups, stop and searches, vehicle checkpoints and teams following crime intelligence-led information.

More than 100 persons were arrested during the operation for various offences, including possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunitions, drug dealing, stock theft, cable theft, illegal immigrants, and many other serious crimes committed.

De Deur SAPS Detectives also had their tracing operation which resulted in 14 persons arrested: 1 attempted murder, 1 armed robbery, 3 assault GBH, 6 assault common, 2 assault common (Domestic Violence related) and 1 malicious damage to property.
