Former Chiefs star is passionate about development

Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs later fought over his signature but he ended up at Naturena.

SEDIBENG.- Former Kaizer Chiefs midfield-cum-striker, Abia “Soul Provider” Nale has found his new passion, to work with youngsters.

Nale is involved in his grassroots program developing upcoming stars where he spends his weekends at the soccer grounds training and coaching youngsters. Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, Nale said that he intends to embark on coaching and obtain relevant coaching qualifications.

To date, Nale went through development structures growing up in Orlando Pirates development before he was promoted to the senior team, and was loaned to the now-defunct Manning Rangers from Durban. This was before he joined Golden Arrows and made a name for himself, before later being signed by Chiefs.

“I’m passionate about development because I grew up under development structures. I understand development, especially what it is like to be a youngster eager to learn. I must say I enjoyed my time at Pirates development under the likes of Augusto Palacios. I learned a lot at Pirates when I was still under their development structures and I’m grateful to have been part of the club development,” said Nale.

Nale said that his intention is to attend SAFA Coaching Course in the near future to get relevant qualifications.
