SEDIBENG – Dashing the drink in different ways is the only way to enjoy it.
While many select a certain brand for different occasions, a 40-year-old man has embarked on producing a drink for all occasions, merged with a bit of class.
Duncan Motaung from Bedworthpark, the founder of Luv Luv Gin said he left his normal officer job in order to bring Gin lovers, the drink of their dreams.
Speaking to Sedibeng Ster, Motaung said together with his partner, they saw a gap and decided to produce a Gin that everyone will indulge in without thinking twice.
“My business partner and I, saw a gap, especially in the black market where successful individuals go for expensive whiskeys, ladies go for expensive wine and we decided to go for diverse Gin.
“We went for a Gin that can be dedicated to everyone and anyone who loves and enjoys Gin. Our brand is a Gin that one can turn into cocktails, or straight and still relish the same taste. We try to push black excellence,” he said.
Motaung said leaving his 9-5 job, was a mere response to his calling.
“I left my office hour-related job to do 24-hour work. This was just me answering my calling and venturing into the Gin industry”.
Explaining how the idea of the Luv Luv Gin came about, Motaung said “We know people love Gin and not just any Gin, however, Gin lovers sometimes can’t buy other brands because they lack class. Our Gin is different. The packaging says classy, the taste says elegance. When the Gin was created, we tweaked it until perfection and made sure this is one drink you can fuse it with any dash and still taste the original palate. The packing says a lot, this is a premium Gin,” he said.
Distinguishing the brand from the other, Motaung said “The difference between our Gin and the rest is the idea behind, the packaging, the taste. Ours is a botanical Gin, meaning it does not overwhelm the pallet like most Gins do”.
