VANDERBIJLPARK – Just when the owner had lost hope, the vehicle was found in pieces, at a resident in Vanderbijlpark,
This is after local police received a tip-off on Friday, February 17, about a house that is keeping suspected stolen property and having suspicious activities.
Following the tip-off, the Investigating Officer embarked on a tracing operation with the detective tracing team which led to the arrest of four suspects.
When the team arrived at the address, car doors, stripped engine, bumpers, and car interior components including dashboard and seats linked to the hijacked Polo were recovered.
Speaking to Sedibeng Ster, Vanderbijlpark police spokeswoman Sergeant Gertrude Makhale said “when the suspects saw the law enforcers they tried to flee, and four suspects were arrested for possession of the stolen property. The parts of the VW Polo were linked with the case of January in CE 2 Vanderbijlpark, Suspects are in their early thirties and early forties”.
Brigadier Nikiwe Sefatsa applauded the members for good work and ensuring that the suspects are brought to book, as Vanderbijlpark is facing a lot of property crimes.
Suspects will be appearing before the court of law to face the mighty hands of the law.
