SAMLFA Sedibeng visits former soccer great Satch Modise

EVATON.- The South African Masters and Legends Football Association (SAMLFA) Sedibeng held their monthly meeting at one of the former greats, Johannes “Satch” Modise in Evaton over the weekend.
Some of the former greats who attended this gathering were Super Mofokeng, who was one of the most talented players to have come out of the Vaal.
Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, Love Moremi said that it was great to see the former greats under the same roof reflecting back to their days as footballers. Moremi and Dr Molefi Oliphant were instrumental in the formation of the SAMLFA in Sedibeng. Moremi said the meeting was part of their monthly meetings to give feedback to their members about the new development or progress in the organization.
“The meeting was fruitful thanks to the ex-professional players who were in attendance and there was excitement written all over their faces. I must say it was a day well spent reflecting back and talking about the standard of our football among other things.”
“It was great seeing legends like Bra Super Mofokeng who was one of the greatest players to have come out of this region. It was also a bag of mixed feelings to see Bra Satch Modise, who was one of the deadly strikers this country has produced in the past,” said Moremi.
Moremi told Sedibeng Ster Sport that he is looking forward to next month’s meeting and hopes to see more of the ex-professional players attending in big numbers. He believes these monthly meetings are also meant to check on the ex-professionals well-being.
