The top school achievers who were honoured on the day are Jabulile Moloja (R 5000), Morena Mofokeng (R 4000), and Portia Lepota (R 3000). These learners were accompanied by their parents who were also acknowledged for their contribution to the success of their children.  Dr. Oliphant said that this is the beginning of the partnership with the school.

He gave the teachers and learners a brief background of the school and said that he was proud to see some of the teachers that he taught, teaching at the same school.

“We thought we must do something for those learners who did well to inspire other current learners to do well. This is the beginning of the good things to come here at the school with the support of parents, community, and obviously the school principal,” he told learners.

The school principal, Patrick Kgalapa told Sedibeng Ster that this means a lot to the school and that this will serve as motivation to learners to do more in the coming exams.

“We want to thank Dr. Oliphant and his team for their generosity to our school especially these learners who just passed their matric,” he concluded.
