VANDERBIJLPARK. _The police in Vanderbijlpark nabbed three suspects and subsequently charged them with possession of suspected stolen state property.The incident happened on Thursday last week.
The three suspects were traveling in a BMW when they were stopped by officers who requested to search their vehicle.
Police spokesperson Sergeant Thembeka Maxambela reports that while searching the vehicle, members found a bulletproof vest, handcuffs, pepper spray, cap and a petrol card belonging to the South African Police Services (SAPS). Police also found four cellphones in the car.
“Three suspects were arrested for possession of suspected stolen state property and will make an appearance at the Vanderbijlpark Magistrate’s Court soon.”
Vanderbijlpark SAPS station commander Brigadier Nikiwe Sefatsa applauded the diligent work carried out by the officers.
