Thuto-Tiro’s Class of ’91 hosts reunion
"This school made us who we are today and I'm proud to call myself its former learner."
SEDIBENG.- Former Thuto-Tiro Secondary School pupils hosted a reunion recently to reflect back during their time at the school in Zone 10 Extension 1, Sebokeng.
This Class of ’91 reflected back to when the school was well-known as one of the schools that produced great men and women academically. Apart from education, TTC as the school is affectionately known was a household name when it came to football, and it came as no surprise when some of those who played for school soccer team became successful professional footballers.
Former SuperSport United hard man, Peter “Fire” Khoabane is one of TTC’s learners who became a successful professional soccer player. Speaking to Sedibeng Ster, Khoabane said that it was a great feeling to see his former school and classmates after so many years.
“This reunion was the best thing to happen in our lives even though we lost some people along the way”, he concluded.
