Vanderbijlpark SAPS honor top Detectives

Jubilation was order of the day for six Detectives who have recently attained the highest convictions.

VANDERBIJLPARK – This is after the Vanderbijlpark police management decided to commemorate the sextet for achieving their milestones since joining the force.

On Tuesday, December 6, 2022, led by the precinct’s Station Commander Brigadier Nikiwe Sefatsa, several police bosses helped in issuing out awards to Sergeants Willy Mathibela, Siyabonga Ndlovu, Jabulani Radebe, Kgotso Maloma, Mokone Mavundla and Thapelo Molefe.

The convictions varied from murder, fraud, Culpable homicide, possession stolen vehicle robbery among many others.

Addressing the gathered crowd, Sefatsa said the awards are to honor the cops for a job well done.

“This must be a motivation for you to continue doing a tremendous job in serving your country. We want to show you how much we value your efforts in making sure law breakers end up behind bars for many years,” she said.

Sefatsa added that the recognition must motivate other officers to work hard and be dedicated to their work, also bring hope to victims of crime that their cases opened against criminals at the end they will be solved.

Among the detectives awarded was a community patroller Sibongile Khambule who was also recognize for her zest in helping her community as the Best Patroller.

Speaking on behalf of CPF, Chairperson Ntsokolo Ndindwa said he was very happy for the determination shown by the detectives in dealing with cases and applauded Khambule for being the best patroller in her precinct.

“ I am happy that I have never received any complaints from community members that their cases are not being taken serous. I want to thank the detectives for always taking any case serous and making sure that criminals are convicted with harsh sentences and victims get closure. And to one of ours, keep up the good work and never get tired of doing good for your community,” said Ndindwa.
