SEDIBENG.- The motor-mouth old man was at it again when he questioned the timing of the Carling Black Label Tournament which involved the likes of Orlando Pirates, Mamelodi Sundowns, Amazulu and Kaizer Chiefs over the weekend.
Ntate Broos might have a point, but the manner in which he shoots from his hip shows how much he doesn’t respect South African football. To remind those with short memories, not long ago, this madala claimed there was no quality in the PSL and that there is no South African player who plays regularly in a top European league. For argument’s sake, whether he was right or wrong, is there no other platform that the can use to addresses such issues with SAFA or PSL?
TOUCHLINE can tell you now that if it was one of our local coaches who made such utterances, SAFA would have fired him a long time ago, Coach Shakes Mashaba can attest to this!
SAFA’s silence is too LOUD, much to my dislike, as this madala continues to rubbish our football as if he is “one of us”. Like I said in my previous column, Broos has no respect for South African football and whoever recommended this old man to SAFA must hang his head in shame. There is nothing that comes out of his month every time he opens it. TOUCHLINE is gatvol with this madala’s utterances so is everyone especially those who are jealous about our football. SAFA must call this madala to order because he seems to have no respect even for the people who pay for his salary. As a country we have failed to qualify for the AFCON but unlike coaches before him, SAFA has kept him.
For what?, TOUCHLINE can’t tell because insult after insult he is still in our country coaching our senior national team nogal!
TOUCHLINE finds it very strange that there are those who applaud Hugo Brooks for rubbishing our football. They don’t see anything wrong about this madala who continues to undermine our football. For free education, there is a difference between speaking your mind and insulting our intellect. Enough is enough, as this madala continues to even overlook certain players for Bafana Bafana.
This reason why Bafana Bafana failed to qualify for the AFCON is because he overlooked some players regardless of their form.
So SAFA must do a honourable thing and tell this madala to shut up and ship out!
