MTN8 second legs semi-finals this weekend

Kaizer Chiefs is going into the MTN8 Cup second leg with a defeat in their back of their minds.

SEDIBENG.- This was after they suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Chippa United in the DStv Premier Soccer League at FNB Stadium on Saturday.

To add salt to their wounds, Chiefs have a mountain to climb against Amazulu after the two teams played to 1-all draw in the MTN8 Cup first leg semi-final at FNB Stadium. This is a must win game for Chiefs if they entertain any hopes of going through to the finals to play either Mamelodi Sundowns or Orlando Pirates. This much anticipated MTN8 Cup second leg is scheduled to take place at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on Sunday, while Orlando Pirates travel to Peter Mokaba Stadium to face the defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday. These two teams played to a goalless draw in the first leg semi-finals of the MTN8 Cup at Orlando Stadium.

Over the weekend, Coach Arthur Zwane was frustrated following their defeat against Chippa United and accused his players of ‘winning the game before they played’. Zwane was of the opinion that players underestimated Chippa United. If the game finishes with the score being 1-1, this mean thats Amazulu will proceed to the MTN8 Cup final to face either Mamelodi Sundowns or Orlando Pirates. This game is expected to produce fireworks with Amazulu seemingly on top of their form as they produced a breath taking performance when they shared the spoils with Orlando Pirates in the DStv Premier League at Orlando Stadium recently.
