No need to panic…Banyana are on the right track!

Banyana Banyana must not be judged based on their defeat against Brazil and Australia in international friendly matches that took place recently.

SEDIBENG.-  Banyana Banyana’s latest 4-0 defeat over Australia in London on Saturday was a great concern to some sections of supporters. The team also lost 9-0 on aggregate to Brazil in recent two friendly games that took place in the country, but Sedibeng Ster Sports has no doubt, come Women’s World Cup, Banyana Banyana will be ready.

They are current Women’s African Cup of Nations winners after all.

Despite the defeat in international friendly matches, preparations are on right track for Coach Desiree Ellis. Many football experts believe it is better to lose in friendly matches so that Coach Desiree Ellis can fix the team where it is needed. This is the first time Banyana Banyana has played against the high profile football nations and this will benefit the team going to World Cup next year. These are the kind of opponents Banyana Banyana need if they want to make their presence felt in the Women’s World Cup, thanks to SAFA and Sasol.

Some experts say South African must not to be hard on Banyana Banyana because the defeats against Brazil and Australia will help the team to be more prepared. Sedibeng Ster Sport, believes that Banyana Banyana will be ready to cause an upset come next year. Coach Desiree has done it before, against all odds, when she led Banyana Banyana to be crowned the Women’s African Cup of Nations Champions. She did this  with some relatively young players who are likely to be part of Banyana Banyana team that is going to World Cup.
