Mooivaal Media invites Midvaal to breakfast

The largest local media house, Mooivaal Media recently hosted a breakfast 'meet and greet' for the one of the best performing municipalities in the country, Midvaal Local Municipality in Meyerton.

MEYERTON.- The breakfast was held at the Merchant Business Class Hotel in Meyerton on Thursday morning.

Mooivaal Media’s Account Manager, Anette Mundell speaks while Thys Foord, Mooivaal Media General Manager listens.

The main purpose of the event was mainly for the media company to thank the municipality for its support throughout the years and also for the municipality to ‘formaly’ introduce its Members of the Mayoral Committee (MMC’s) and Executive Mayor to the media house’s advertising and editorial staff. Maretha Lombard, Mooivaal Media’s Advertising Manager, informed the Midvaal team about the structure of the company and the changes that will soon take place within Mooivaal Media as it now being entirely taken over by the Caxton media group.

“Do not have doubts, nothing has changed. It is just that we are now 100 percent with Caxton, but it is business as usual. Do not worry, our publications are still the same, our reach is still the same, and most importantly we will always be relevant to the people.”

“We are grateful for your support in all the years that you have been our client, and we would like to say that we wish for this ‘partnership’ to continue for years to come,” said Anette Mundell,  who is the Advertising Team Leader and Account Manager at Mooivaal Media.

Welcoming the gesture, Midvaal Local Municipality (MLM) Executive Mayor, Peter Teixeira said that the media should never shy away from holding the municipality accountable.

“Where we are wrong we need to be held accountable, do not be soft on us just because we are one of your clients. We need to serve the people and be held accountable, he said.
