Pirates and Chiefs to dig deep in second leg

Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs will have to dig deeper when they visit Amazulu and Mamelodi Sundowns in the MTN8 return leg in two weeks time.

SEDIBENG.- The two Soweto giants played to a 1-1 and 0-0 draw against Amazulu and Mamelodi Sundowns respectively in the first leg of this competition on Saturday and Sunday.

Much was expected from this former South African football giants ahead of this first leg encounter playing at home but  they failed to get positive results. They now have a mountain to climb in the second leg away from home come on, October 22 and 23. However, Orlando Pirates were unlucky not to be beat Mamelodi Sundowns as they dominated the proceedings especially in the first stanza. Sundowns came in the second half more purposefuly after they made some few changes with Bongani Zungu being one of them. This was one game worth watching for supporters who packed the Orlando Stadium to capacity.

Kaizer Chiefs will go to Durban knowing that a win is the only thing that will see them going through to the finals. Amazulu scored an away goal which put them in a better position if the coming game ends in a goalless draw.
