SEDIBENG.- This is ahead of the MTN8 first leg fixtures that will see Orlando Pirates hostMamelodi Sundowns at Orlando Stadium on Saturday. Kaizer Chiefs will be home against Amazulu at FNB Stadium on Sunday with the second leg fixtures scheduled for October 22.
MTN8 ambassadors, Lucky Lekgwathi and Fabian McCarthy graced the MooiVaal Media building as part of the MTN8 nationwide tour to mobilise soccer fans to come in numbers at the stadium through media platforms. The MooiVaal Media offices came to a standstill with staff and management taking this opportunity to take photos with the MTN8 trophy and these two former soccer greats who played for Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs respectively during their playing days.
Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, the two said being part of MTN8 and to talk about the sport they love so much is an honour. The two legends told Sedibeng Ster Sport that they will love to see their former teams playing in the final. These two former greats believe Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs can stop Mamelodi Sundowns from dominating domestic football.
However, they acknowledged to Sedibeng Ster Sport that the difference between Sundowns and their former teams is the ability to sign quality players.
