SAMLFA Top Six leadership elected

The South African Masters and Legends Football Association (SAMLFA) Sedibeng top six new committee was elected at the Sebokeng Community Hall over the weekend.

SEBOKENG.- These elections were chaired by the veteran football administrator, Dr Molefi Oliphant who is the outgoing chairperson of the SAMLFA Sedibeng Interim Committee.
Apart from elections, some of the individuals were honoured by SAMLFA for their contribution not only in Sedibeng football but in South African football. Former SA U/23 National Team Coach, Kenneth “Conti” Kubheka was among the people who were honoured on the day. Another soccer greats who were honoured on the day were Peter Mosuoe, Killer Makintane and Lucas Scotland who was instrumental in the formation of the Sedibeng Regional Masters Football Association.

The new elected President of the SAMLFA is Ramatladi Sefatsa, who is also the President of Sedibeng Regionals Masters Football Association. Themba Mokoena was elected as his 1st deputy with George Mothibe his 2nd Deputy President. Former Vaal Professional and SuperSport United hard man, Peter “Fire” Khoabane was elected as the SAMLFA Sedibeng Secretary with Kgabi Diale elected as the 2nd Deputy Secretary. Mandla Majola was elected as the Treasurer of the SAMLFA Sedibeng.
The SAMLFA Provincial representatives, Pepe Dire, Chillies Mathabe and Malombo Kgware were assigned to ensure that the elections were free and fair. Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, newly elected Secretary, Peter “Fire” Khoabane said that the elections were successful and that the elected members will carry this organisation forward. He thanked Dr Molefi Oliphant for the role he played to ensure that SAMLFA Sedibeng achieved its objective to bring all the parties together.
“I must say if it wasn’t of Dr Oliphant I don’t think we could have achieved what we achieved today. I have too much respect for Ntate Oliphant and he used his experience to bring us under one umbrella when it seemed a mission impossible. There is so much we learn from Dr Oliphant and we will make sure going forward he is here to guide us because of his experience. It is not going to be easy, but we are prepared to serve those who have faith in us to lead them. We are not going to disappoint them because we are here not to serve ourselves but them,” said Khoabane.
The additional members are Sam Kadi, Sello Pitso, Joseph Choma, Disco Lesotho, and Phineas Tefo.
