‘Hare Baize’: Patriotic Alliance launches in Sedibeng Region

This was said during the party’s official launch over the weekend.

SEBOKENG.- In his remarks to the crowd gathered at the Saul Tsotetsi Sports Centre in Sebokeng, Kenny Kunene of the Patriotic Alliance (PA) explained that the party was not in Sedibeng in order to increase its numbers.

Kunene said that he was delighted at the turn out from both the youth and elderly people and that the truth of the matter is that the community in the region is thirsty to have a party that will take them out of poverty, and that, that party is the PA. With ‘Vision 2024’ being the PA’s focus and its slogan being, ‘Ha re baize’, Kunene said that the party is going to cause its, “opposition to breath heavily when thinking of the PA”.

“This region has been on the ‘queue ‘for years without any positive response. There are no ‘VIPs’ in the PA. Our president Gayton MacKenzie is now leading a municipality (that is doing well) and he is not taking a salary home. The dignity of our people has been taken for granted (for a long time). Here in the PA there’s no ageism as we believe that a patriotic person should love his or her people and the country.”

The PA was formed by Kunene and Gayton McKenzie.

Griffith Mzizi, PA Deputy President, Kenny Kunene and Councillor Collen Nzima.

Griffith Mzizi, a former independent political candidate, who is also a former ANC ward Councillor is now the regional coordinator of the PA. The party, together with the ANC, PAC, Solidarity Party, New Horizon Movement and Vaal Party is in a coalition in the Emfuleni Local Municipality (ELM), represented by Collen Nzima.
